Wa: CEO of WPP and Philanthropist Nancy Dery donates One Thousand Ghana Cedis to support treatment of Breast Cancer patient from Jirapa.
CEO of Women Powering Possibilities WPP, Philanthropist, Leadership Strategist and aspiring Upper West Regional Women’s Organizer of the NPP, Madam Nancy A. Dery have donated One Thousand Ghana Cedis (1,000.00) into Radio Progress Humanitarian Campaign Project to support a 39year old married woman from Jirapa Municipality Madam Danyi Ewula suffering from Breast Cancer ailment.
Donating the money on behalf of Madam Nancy Dery, the Daffiama/Bussie/Issa Constituency Youth Organizer of the NPP Alhaji Oly Alekaawaah Gap said Madam Nancy Dery was touched by the woman’s pain after she was informed about the pains and plight of the breast cancer patient and therefore decided to donate towards the treatment of her breast cancer.
He said women are vulnerable and always at the forefront of Madam Nancy’s Humanitarian works. He added that the donation is not for political gains but rather a gesture to ameliorate her plight.
Alhaji Oly Gap said Madam Nancy as a Philanthropist, Women Empowerment Activist, a
Leadership strategist and an Entrepreneur has touched many lives across the country including the Upper West region through her women non-governmental organization and has offered free skill training to women in the upper West Region.
He added that Madam Nancy has donated to various institutions including the media houses during the peak of Covid-19 pandemic in the region.
The Head of Programmes and News Editor for MMD Radio Progress Morris Banaamwine who spoke on behalf of Management of Radio Progress and the family of Madam Danyi Ewula thanked Madam Nancy Dery for responding rapidly to the plight of the Breast Cancer patient and called on sons and daughters of the region to emulate her gesture.
Last week Friday Radio Progress aired a sad and touching story of Madam Danyi Ewula on our most popular and listened Family Lifestyle Programme in the Upper West region dubbed “Friday Morning Toaster” to solicit for support for her to undergo treatment at the Tamale Teaching Hospital TTH in Northern region.
Authorities at TTH have given the family of Ewula 2 weeks to produce an amount of ten thousand Ghana Cedis 10,000. 00 to enable them treat her.
