AGRICULTURE STUDENTS APPEALS TO GOVERNMENT AND OTHER STAKE HOLDERS FOR POSTING AFTER SCHOOL.

Agriculture Students in Ghana are appealing to government and the ministry of Food and Agriculture to come to our aid.

This has become necessary following the accumulation of the Agriculture graduates from the 6 college in the houses unemployed. Agriculture students in the various college go through a lot of stress and hardship in the payment of fees since the scrap "off" of their allowances and the absence of feeding grands during their staying period in school.

In a post circulating on media sighted by Royal Media Gh, and written by one of the Agicultutal students by name Adams Abugre, states that, their neighbors from the other sectors enjoy feeding grands, allowances and posting after school. And they are therefore pleading on Government and other stake holders since their allowances has been scrap off, they should be posted after completion.

"It is a pitty and a shame on us to complete secondary school, goes to tertiary with our Brothers into the other sectors, we complete together, they get posted and we are left wanting and struggling with hardships. As a continuing student, we are always discouraged looking at our brothers and sisters who have completed yet still find themselves wanting. We as agriculture students need better treatment after school as the saying goes AGRIC IS THE BACK BONE OF OUR NATION", he lamented.

According to the Concerned student of Kwadaso Agric College, this is as a result of why people lose appitite in getting enrolled in the Agriculture colleges for their tertiary education, harmering that Agricultural students deserve better service after school.

He signed the writeup and encouraged his colleague stindents to keep sharing to all political and other big platforms until something is done and attention would be given to them.

Below is his contact attached to the write up.

  6. The accumulation of agric colleges students after their graduations and the mandatory national service (nss) is of nothing to write about home. Since 2018, 2019 till now, even summation of these six(6) colleges graduates a year is not up 2000 students. Come to think of this, why posting these students becomes a problem. Looking at the number of teacher trainees or nursing trainees yearly population of graduates.
We are appeal to the very good government of Ghana to aid us. Thank you, Sir/Madam.

  24. It's indeed pathetic to have completed sch and sat in the house all this while. Some of our parents keep asking why we are home while our colleagues from teacher training and nursing are taking salary. Not withstanding that, the end up tagging us as failures.

We plead to the government, Agric Minister and many other concern stakeholders to rescue. The AGRICULTURAL GRADUATES

  25. If care is not taken planting for food and job which is the heart of the president will end up becoming “Breeding for sick and Death" why so, agric graduate are home unemployed and people with no agric background are spearheading some agriculture firms. What positive impacts will they give to the farmers across nation. Indeed there is a saying "KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT WISDOM IS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER. the nation must arise. Mr president the greater you become the greater your task. Your childrens are crying. #LET THERE BE HOPE. U CAN DO IT, ADDO SHOW BOY PERFORM ANOTHER MAGIC

  26. It always bother me when I remember our early stage of school and they keep telling us that agriculture is the backbone of our nation, before our country could develop, we need to put more emphasis on the agricultural sector of our economy, but I feel disappointed in the government of Ghana, growing to see how they treat the agricultural sector and it's people, we have endured a lot in school hoping that after completion, there will be a ready employment for us, but we have seen the opposite of what we were promised.
Oh our respected leaders, have mercy on the agricultural school and post us after school, we humbly appeal to you.

  27. Som ppl do say how can u completed agric School and be waiting for government to employ u. But the reason is the program is not structured for the students to come out to be self employed and also government do not have any plan to assist any student who wanted to employ him or her self. This minister sometimes behave as if he didn't attend agric School before

    ReplyDelete
  28. Sometimes I sit down and wonder y we are treated as such beause we always say agric is the back bone of the nation and its very true. The economy now indicates how the agric sector is being treated, if its been given much attention it will surely reflect on our economy. We're suffering as a country because the back bone is not regarded and this is not politicized because every body is at fault. #POST AGRICULTURAL GRADUATES NOW✊🏾

  29. Agric minister came out recently to talk about recruiting some 550 veterinary officers, look at the number of students who yearly completed, even since 2018 till date and their all in the house with no support and a whole ministry recruiting just 550 and he is happy to talk about it in air. you should even be ashamed of yourself.

  33. Infact it's so appalling when it comes to the government performance for the graduates from the agriculture collages, these graduates has been denied allowances and better still no direct posting for them after they have been completed, so we are calling on Government to come to their aid and make life better for them so that they can also be recognized in the society.

  34. We also deserve to be posted, we're tired being silence since 2018 till now

  35. Sometimes i do asked myself questions but find it difficult to answer them. How can i complete with my colleagues in different institution but they will be posted in no time and I'll be hanging at home putting burdens on my parents again. An employment is now the mottor given to all agric colleges why? was it the main purpose of we attending the school?
About 70 percent of disease are now from animals to Humans but get nothing is working out to solved those problems of our motherland Ghana. Just begging the Government, Minister of food and agriculture and others State holders to looked at the sky heard our crying and clean off our tears. We are not value whenever we are in the midst of our community members, friends and so on.
Why can't we also feel bold and mention the name of your school when been asked by someone. I don't think when your friend step on a fire and ask you to do the same, you will do. The future generations is now discouraged. God, Allah see us through.

  36. Years back, the Nursing training colleges, Teacher training colleges and Agricultural training colleges were been given allowance while in school, get posted after completion of school and their mandatory National service, but a time came and the allowance was scrap off as a result of change in government, some few years later the allowance for the Nursing training colleges and the Teacher training colleges we restored leaving the that of the Agricultural training colleges, and when the Agricultural training colleges students asked for the reinstallation of their allowance, the government didn't do so but rather promise to give us direct posting after school, we agreed because this sounds good and understandable, but what we saw was the opposite of what they promise, the government has since then turn the back to agricultural training college students. But the question is "why we?" Please we also deserve better treatment as the nursing training colleges and the teacher training colleges. We are all Ghanaians and should be treated equally. Let just be done. #we the Agricultural training colleges students are sick and tired of sitting at home after completion# post us now#*

  41. It will be disappointing knowing a country in which agriculture is the back bone of our source of wealth yet graduates of agriculture colleges are not enrolled into government sectors then I ask myself what is the need of the agriculture colleges existence

    ReplyDelete
  42. It's disappointing that a country that benefits from a sector (Agriculture), is not ready to work with the people, after they trained officer to go out there and explore. Yet seeking more from the same disregarded body. I'm pleading with the Government of our dearest mother Ghana to reconsider his decision and see to it that Agriculture college students are giving the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquire.

  43. Please stakeholders please and please do something about these issues for these children please it very painful when you get to a stage in life without knowing your right and left, they also need to enjoy the national cake.

please we are also students like the others, we deserve the same treatment which we are not getting, now all we are begging for is, post us after school.

  45. Every year we see government giving financial clearance to Teacher and Nursing Trainees to be posted to increase productivity in the country but Agricultural Colleges has been ignored for sometime now does this mean the Agricultural Colleges are not of essence?. If government can not give students of these schools Allowances and can not post them after they struggled with their own resources in schools then it will be good they close down those schools so that no will waste his time and resources going to these schools to come and join unemployed graduates of the Agricultural Colleges again. Post us now or you close down the Agricultural Colleges!!!.
