On the 7th of July, 2020, the Wa Central Parliamentary Candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party wrote on her Facebook wall accusing the incumbent Member of Parliament for the incessant attacks and bad tags on her person on social media.
And this is how to a team member and strong supporter of Dr. Rashid Pelpuo responds to her:
What I have for the NPP Candidate is simple. If you are right you don't have to be angry and if you are wrong you still have no reason to be angry. I said this because if the allegations she's alluding to were really her pattern of life, why should she be angry? And on the contrary, if they are falsified she still have no reason to be angry. Because in her innerself she will simple know that it is cooked up tag.
But one thing she needs to know for a fact is that, Dr Rashid Pelpuo is not a stranger in Wa Central unlike her, who has never voted in Wa Central before. And neither is he a beginner in politics like her very self who was pushed through even though her deficit in education clearly evinces that she's unfit to handle that position. But that's not the discussion for today, it's meant for another time.
However, the lawmaker has more than enough track records to showcase to his constituents than her needless allegations against our revered MP which hold no basis neither in law nor logic. And paramount among his initiatives are his benevolent support to students, sinking of boreholes in our various communities, yearly support to farmers and connection of communities such as Chagli and many more to the national grid. Also, his yearly donations of Ghc Gh¢5,000 to Wa Nursing Training College and Wa municipal hospital are part of his good works that we appreciate as a people.
In addition to the above, the Wa Central legistor has constructed a two storey building and security fencing wall for Wa Falahia/Limanyiri schools, making the schools there befitting a model status. Just to mention but a few. So in the existence of all this the NPP Parliamentary Candidate thinks that Dr Rashid Pelpuo has nothing to tell his supporters but what she surmised as a haunting or recurring imagination of her past life pattern. The question is, was Dr Rashid Pelpuo calling or employing people to call others names before her sudden appearance in the political scene?
Perhaps she's new in Wa Central and thus didn't know our MP so well. Dr Rashid Pelpuo has never lived a questionable character before he became an MP and hence has no known dark history. Also, he obeys, respect and respond to the people of Wa central and the region at large in the right manner behooves of his office. Dr Rashid is one of his kind that has never assaulted anyone either verbally or physically in his social and political life.
If we have such a messiah who is son of a woman, a husband and a father of women as our leader why should we trade him for something average. Such a leader who never killed an aunt by himself, never hurt the feelings of either young or old and you expect us to believe that he ganged people to remind you about your past life.
Going forward, you shouldn't have to be oblivious of the fact that you were living with people who still live.
Would you be surprised tomorrow if people mention to you that you slapped your colleague women and even men who are married in public just because you were a Parliamentary candidate?
Would you be surprised if they say you lied to be a consultant, contractor and financier of year of roads projects?
Will it be news to hear that you got married at a time when they were so many eyebrows
on your wedlock?
When ever the so-called G6 tag you and refer to the astute Dr as "do little", you become happy abi?
the answer will be hurtful but can't be denied.
