WA POLICE ARREST FIVE (5) TEENAGERS FOR STEALING IN COMMUNITY DURING WEE HOUR.

The Upper West Police SWAT team upon a tip off arrested five teenagers all natives of Wa who succeeded in stealing Wapaani, Dobile and other areas all suburbs of Wa during the wee hour of Sunday May 10, 2020.

The suspects are Richard Ababa- 17 mason, Amemunu Musazu - 16 aluminum glass fabricator, Fuseini Haruna - 17 student, Sita Rahinatu - 16 student and Ibrahim Karim student, dishonestly receiver.

Items consisting of six (6) used home theater, one (1) strong decoder which were stolen, were found dumped in a room at Wapaani whilst one (1) 26 inches new brand flat screen was found in possession of Ibrahim karim.

The regional Police says primarily investigation revealed that, the suspects began their activity at 11:50 pm of May 10, 2020 and when realized that they were behind time, kept the items in that particular room and sold the 26 inches flat screen to Ibrahim Karim at a cost of Gh 350.00 of which he paid Ghc 100.00 immediately remaining Ghc 250.00 at 8:50 am in the morning, when their plot leaked.

According to the regional Police PRO, these thieves will be arraign before a competent court of jurisdiction after investigation.

The Upper West Regional Police Commander, DCOP Mr. Francis Aboagye Nyarko expresses his greatest gratitude to the community and urges that, the Command will always welcome information that will help combat criminality.
